The SNL actress took some time out of her day to speak to Variety, where she had explained how for some time she doubted the COVID-19 vaccine.
Leslie revealed that she was highly skeptical about the vaccine when it first came out.
She explained how she was very against it at first, and she doubted it worked. Leslie explained how she wanted to wait until the last batch and maybe then someone could convince her into taking it.
Afterward, she spoke to a friend of her aunts who was one of the biologists working on the COVID vaccine and she warned her that the situation was very serious and urged her to get vaccinated.
On top of that, MTV Movie $ TV awards set it as a requirement and she was the host, so she ended up doing it.
Leslie also told Variety what can the audience expect from the MTV Award night.
She said that she wants the whole night to feel like a party, she just wants to bring joy and to have everyone having fun.
The 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards will be divided into two parts: the first night will feature the scripted content, while the second night will feature the unscripted content.
